I started making these cute little princess bags (inspired by a girl and a glue gun) for my daughters birthday party. I was so excited about these bags and made two last week for a birthday party. Well, I was trying to be cheap, I mean frugal, and bought the bags at the dollar tree. Bought the tulle and ribbon and started dreaming of princesses! Well my dreams were cut short when I gave myself a few blisters, messed up a bag, and then as I thought..."an iron-on would be cute" and so I put the Iron to the bag and look below to see what happens when you add heat and pressure to something that is apparently plastic or something obviously not fabric.
Well, its good I had extras. The bags turned out great and the kiddos loved them. (I found out that my little sisters cut the bottom of the bags to make princess dresses for their dolls, how cute and innovative!) I may have to make some dresses now:).
Thanks for stopping by, it's summer break now, so hopefully I will post more blogs soon!

Time flies!
3 years ago, I was in a hospital bed blowing bubbles with bubble yum gum and joking around with my besties, my husband, and my parents...patiently awaiting for my daughters arrival. I had an epidermal at about 4 1/2 centimeters because apparently my doc on call loved me!!! I kept poking my legs and saying "look guys, I can't feel anything!" I think I was getting delirious waiting for my baby girl. She was 10 days late and I was ready to meet her!!! I had an amazing pregnancy and fantastic delivery and then we had a rough two years with lots of hospital visits and a broken bone. If you have a child that has/had Hirschsprungs or a broken femur, I would love to hear your story. Email me or comment below.
Anyway, I can't believe that my sweet baby girl is turning three! Time truly flies when you are having fun. Our little girl is just so amazing! I love her more than I ever thought possible!!! She has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives.
In honor of her birthday, I decided (at 7:30pm at night) to make her a birthday outfit. So here it is, it only took about 1 1/2 hours and I think she will love it! I took an old t-shirt and cut out ovals of fabric for balloons and used heat-bond to secure them, sewed them on an old shirt and made a skirt to match, added some embellishment stitches and voila!
I will try to take pics of her wearing it! Let me know what you think!

Craft ADD
My mind is constantly going, going, going! Unfortunately, it's usually going in different directions. I've always had problems focusing on one thing for a long period of time. In college my professor told me I should be tested and be put on meds, but really I had made it to college, what was that going to help? Seriously should have reconsidered that advice....!!!
:) I have made it 31 years, a few broken bones, a few stories to tell, and am so happy in my life. I have a wonderful husband (truly amazing!), a beautiful intelligent daughter, and a great job, BUT, I can't seem to clean one full room in our house at one time. I clean up stuff all the time, do dishes, pick up toys, but what the heck, I just can't seem to stick to completing a task in one sitting. I think that is why my credit sucks. :/ oh well, back to the point....
Ive been having trouble focusing on my crafting. I have so many fun things like hair accessories, keychains, crayon holders, and hand bags, but finishing more than one or a couple seems out of my realm of thought... and or attention span. Any advice in how to help my problem???? Until I can focus, I will continue to blog and craft random stuff. My next project.......bracelets for Relay for life for my mom. (sorry if I just ruined the surprise mom, I just hope I get them done.) Until then, here is a picture of a crayon holder for my daughter when we are out and about. This was inspired because I took crayons in my purse when we went out to eat a few weeks ago and forgot one. Well, a warm day+purse in car=melted crayon in my purse. Good thing I made the purse and it's washable:)

Three fat quarters and a new sewing machine
For my birthday ( a month ago) my mom and dad and brother and sister in law went in and bought me a sewing machine. I am in love with it! It's amazing how much better and smoother it sews than my old one. I will always treasure my old machine, I did learn how to sew with it, but sometimes you just have to move forward, besides it's going to a good home. Aunt Yaya will take good care of you Brother LS-2125i.
My new Singer Curvy does so many fun stitches and I can't wait to work the button hole attachment! I'm such a Geek! Anyway, I've been sewing with it for a few days and just finished one project, a cute little spring/summer handbag. It's for sale if your interested. Hint* hint* I'm trying to gain a little inventory so I can actually make some profit. Here are some pics of the purse and my new machine.
Why kind of machine do you have? Do you love it or hate it?
On to my next project....but what do I choose???

Spray paint, birthday planning, and proud momma moment!
Wow, it's been too long since I've posted on my blog. I feel like work has just been kicking my butt and our evenings go by too quickly.
Last week I had a few hours between work meetings and I decided that I would paint the chalkboard wall in our spare bedroom because I promised Lyla I would get it done. :) I learned that spray paint should be used in a more open area and that I am thankful that we still have a carpet cleaner. Pictures are at the bottom. Lyla
loves it and mommy and daddy too.
With Lyla's birthday approaching, I have been looking at Pinterest like crazy! I have so many ideas...bug juice, caterpillar veggies, butterfly cake...I'm
thinking of a bug theme if you can't tell. I may change my mind again, since I do that a lot.
And last but not least, my proud momma moment!!! Lyla has been spellings and signing her name for a while now, and she finds letters in every day objects, but last night I had a T-shirt on that said "Colorado"(from my bestie, Erin) written in cursive. Lyla pointed to every letter and said it out loud. SERIOUSLY!! She is a amazing! She is not even three yet! I just have so much joy and love when I look at her and I am amazed at how much she is learning and growing.
What are your proud momma moments?
Please leave comments or questions and come back soon.

Things I love about today...
Today is a good day. It's a normal day, woke up, showered, got babybear up, took her to daycare ( and she was happy!), went to work, had a couple home visits and had an Easter egg hunt with the kids at Head Start, got Babybear, and came home. Ordinary day right? Right, but I feel good! ( I always want to sing that "I feel good dananananana") just me? Am i weird? Anyway, Im really loving my new job, I love our new home, I love our gym(which I started back into this week), and I love my family!
Here are a couple of highlights throughout my day....a little boy at Head Start told me he loved me, I wore my comfortable shoes all day, I got my sewing machine hooked up, and I had a complete stranger compliment me on my purse. When I told her I made it, she asked for my info. She may even read my blog, Hi!
Well, I just wasn't in the mood to cook tonight so I decided it should be a pizza night! Thin crust pizza, fresh fruit, and a salad. I love these kind of dinners; simple, somewhat healthy, and delicious. The only thing that would be better was if the hubs was home to share it. I miss him when he works. I hope every married couple is as happy as us:)
What is your go-to meal when you don't feel like cooking?
I would love to hear feed back, questions, or comments!
P.s. I always forget to take a picture of the food before I eat it all. This is what's left on my plate :)

Making memories
I had lots of plans on getting stuff done today, but not a lot happened...what did happen was having a great time hanging out with my parents and the princess. We went to rural king and saw hundreds of baby chicks! (I really want a baby chick, they are sooooo cute! The chicks were only $1.50 but a cage for the chicks was $150, go figure. ) Well, the princess had a great time with grandma and grandpa. I got some unpacking done, and we grilled out twice:) I love this weather. As I was unpacking, the princess found her princess tutu and had to wear it. I love how she has a unique little style of her own. She was determined to wear this tutu, along with a hoodie, and Elmo socks. Punky Brewster anyone?
I am having crafting withdrawal, hopefully I can get my craft room organized an unpacked this week so I can work on some projects. I'm thinking of starting up an etsy site soon...comments? Advice? Other options? Email me or leave your comment below. I would love to hear from you :)
